The Weird Wild Art of SCAR
The weird wild art of SCAR – Steve Carter and Antoinette Rydyr incorporates anything from sci fi and horror fantasy to surrealism and weird satire. All of it has a strong element of the fantastic and a healthy dose of experimentalism. They have also produced esoteric electronic music which can be sampled on Bandcamp, and written screenplays including “Curse of the Swampies”, which won “Best Feature Film Screenplay” at the A Night of Horror International Film Festival 2010.
They have recently published a series of graphic novels which can be found on their Amazon Author page: “Carter Rydyr”, including: the out-of-this-world anthology “Weird Worlds – Subversive Science Fiction Stories”, the alien jungle adventure “Savage Bitch” and Australia’s most controversial comicbook resurrected in the graphic novel “Phantastique – Tales of Taboo Terror”. In 2018 their steampunk western novel, “Weird Wild West” parts 1 and 2 were published by Bizarro Pulp Press, USA, and part 3 was published in 2019.
